Build Your Own Clone (or "BYOC") was started in 2004 by Keith Vonderhulls as a hobby on his kitchen table. It is one of the first online businesses, if not the first online business, that assembled kits allowing others to build their own effects pedals.

Today, as well as offering pedal kits, BYOC also offers amp kits and associated accessories and spare parts.

From BYOC's "About" page:

Our goal today is exactly the same as it was when we first started - to make a product for guitarists and musicians that was more than just some DIY project that merely "worked", but a complete stompbox or amp that would rival or surpass any big name boutique version in both tone and quality.

We may procure one or more BYOC amp kits in the future, but it is not currently on our horizon.
