Build Your Own Clone (or "BYOC") was started in 2004 by Keith Vonderhulls as a hobby on his kitchen table. It is one of the first online businesses, if not the first online business, that assembled kits allowing others to build their own effects pedals.
Today, as well as offering pedal kits, BYOC also offers amp kits and associated accessories and spare parts.
BYOC's mission is exactly the same as when it first was started: to make products for musicians that are more than just some DIY project that merely "worked". BYOC aimed to deliver a complete stompboxes or amps that rival or surpass any big name boutique versions in both tone and quality.
