Psychedelic Music came out of the 1960s counter culture. This counter culture was based in the youth rebellion of "baby boomers" against their parents. There are all kinds of historical documents available analyzing Psychedelic music and the ethos of the counter culture. We're not going to get into it here. The hope is that we provide a list of artists that performed "heavy" psychedelic music and the instruments they performed on to get that sound.

Psychedelic Bands

Please note we're purposefully NOT including the "pop" or "flighty" sounding psychedelic bands. No Strawberry Alarm Clock. No Scott McKenzie. There's too much pap written about meaningless unpassionate drivel already.
