Pickups
We understand that there are many different kinds of pickups. We understand that your favorite kind of pickup may not be listed here. We're aware of the possibility that your favorite boutique pickup winder may not be on this list. We are not attempting to create an exhaustive list of every possible pickup builder or every different style of pickup. We do think that the kinds of pickups we're itemizing below represent 99% of the pickups out on the market.
Are we interested that there's some guy or gal out in the backwoods near you who winds pickups so excellent that people think it's possible that s/he's been "seduced by the devil"? Has this "seduction" resulted in pickups with uncommon, even heavenly, mojo? Does s/he back up his product with excellent customer service and a fully guaranteed money-back refund? Does s/he walk that talk? In other words, does s/he not only say it, but do it? Well, the answer is that we probably would be interested - but our interest would more than likely be content for the news pages of this site rather than the wiki. Like any human situation, there are exceptions.
Please be aware that as we develop these lists of examples of pieces of musical equipment, that our act of doing so is less a matter of personal tastes and more a matter of providing lists of equipment and manufacturers who have not only created the equipment, but that also serve as the most easily and readily identifiable examples.
