AMT Electronics
AMT Electronics started in 1982 in a russian electronics engineer's home and garage when he heard a Mini-Moog and decided that since he couldn't buy his own Moog, he would make one. The company history (linked below) talks about what happened when the Berlin Wall came down and the Soviet economic system ended.
Most recently AMT has gained notoriety by designing (in pedal form), and selling internationally, very convincing solid-state versions of preamps that represent current market tastes for vacuum tube amplifiers. Examples of these well-known amplifiers include: Marshall, Peavey, Vox, Bogner, Engl, and Orange.
AMT's entrance to the amplifier market is a pure solid-state offering called the "Stonehead". It's a 4-channel 50 watt amplifier. It is currently in our list of notable amplifiers as it is our belief that it will become a highly demanded classic.
